I am often reminded that destinations, like people, have complex “personalities”. I am also are aware that destinations can be misperceived because of a “fixed notion” that the general public has about them, often for quite understandable reasons. A destination often becomes well known for particular attractions, and to some extent stereotyped.

As travel journalists, we know that there are many facets, and sometimes hidden treasures, in a destination that the travelling public may not be aware of.
